 Saturday, December 3, 2011

Honoring Individuals Dedicated to Community Service and to Inspire Youth

Following a successful launch in 2006, the INSPIRE Aroni Awards returns this December 3, 2011 to the prestigious  Arcadian Court. The sixth annual Aroni Awards Gala is presented by Harmony Movement and presenting partners. The gala is a continuation of the hard work and dedication the Aroni Awards has contributed to helping disadvantaged youths in the realization of their goals and dreams by providing scholarships and mentors.

Our Inspiration 

The Aroni Awards Gala was created in honor of Aron Y. Haile as he was exemplary in creating opportunities for people in diverse backgrounds.  Aron Y. Haile, an African Canadian who died in 2003, at the young age of 30, was an accomplished student, entrepreneur, software developer, entertainment event planner, theater arts enthusiast and adventurer.  His willingness to mentor, love for people, and the arts, gave him an avenue to forge many meaningful relations while giving back to his community. Aron believed that you should help those with good character who are applying positive effort to further advance them to the next step. In December, 2003 while on holidays from his role as a software developer at BMO, his short yet fulfilled life ended in a vehicular accident in Eritrea (East Africa.)

The AroniMAGE awards will be presented to the unsung heroes of our community who continue to work in their perspective fields, while dedicating time for community service. The AroniAwards Education Grants will be presented to dynamic students who require financial aid for post-secondary schooling.  These students show a strong dedication to community service, a positive outlook and continue to persevere despite socioeconomic hardships and other obstacles.

Canada’s premier entertainers, and the Harmony Movement present an inspiring evening to bring an incredible night featuring the nominees receiving award educational grants, and honoring individuals that gave back to the community. Past performers and presenters include: Canadian Idol’s favorite judge Farley Flex, Elle Downs ,Cabral “Cabbie” Richards, Universal Recording Artists Jully Black, Kiesha Chante, Kim Davis and Divine Brown, Comedian Jay Martin, as well as a host of other prominent guests.

The Aroni Awards Gala was created in honor of Aron Y. Haile as he was exemplary in creating opportunities for people in diverse backgrounds. Aron Y. Haile, an African Canadian who died in 2003, at the young age of 30, was an accomplished student, entrepreneur, software developer, entertainment event planner, theater arts enthusiast and adventurer. His willingness to mentor, love for people, and the arts, gave him an avenue to forge many meaningful relations while giving back to his community. Aron believed that you should help those with good character who are applying positive effort to further advance them to the next step. In December, 2003 while on holidays from his role as a software developer at BMO, his short yet fulfilled life ended in a vehicular accident in Eritrea (East Africa.)

Canada’s premier entertainers, and the Harmony Movement present an inspiring evening to bring an incredible night featuring the nominees receiving award educational grants, and honoring individuals that gave back to the community. Past performers and presenters include: Canadian Idol’s favorite judge Farley Flex, Elle Downs ,Cabral “Cabbie” Richards, Universal Recording Artists Jully Black, Kiesha Chante, Kim Davis and Divine Brown, Comedian Jay Martin, as well as a host of other prominent guests.
